Hi, I'm Laura
About Me
Hi, I'm Laura. I'm a 29 year old artist living in London. I was born in Northern Ireland but raised in Oxford and Chester. I have been drawing for as long as I can remember, but as did many of us, I picked up acrylics during lockdown whilst living with a friend.
I really love creating in all different ways but especially with paints. Hopefully I have created a few things that you like too. If anything catches your eye, please don't hesitate to get in touch!

Painting Moments
My current work focusses on capturing fleeting moments from everyday life - quiet, beautiful memories reframed through detailed figures and abstract shapes.
Painting is my way of making sense of what's in my head, of focussing on what matters and letting the rest blur into the background. IIt's how I hold on, let go, and share pieces of my life - one memory at a time.
What Inspires Me
I paint scenes from moments I have lived - photos I have taken, memories that stick. Some are personal, some are just everyday life, but all are grounded in reality and the feeling of wanting to remember, and capture, this specific moment.
How I work
I begin with a subject: a person, a gesture, a detail. From there, I use abstract shapes to blur what doesn't matter, similar to how memories obscure the irrelevant details. The result is a balance between realism and forgotten elements.
Why I Paint
Painting is my creative outlet and a way to stay grounded. I hope that in time, my memories can become part of someone else's; small moments hanging in new homes, speaking to new stories.
